Using a Link Party to Grow Your Blog + Link-It To Me Link Party #24

Happy Tuesday! Recently, I've been reading a lot of articles and learning a lot in hopes of further growing my blog. In addition to this weeks link party, I wanted to share the success that I have with link parties. Not only are they fun to participate in, but it's such a great chance to meet new bloggers and find new blogs to connect with. On top of the social aspect, they can be real drivers of traffic to your blog. Link parties vary by host(s) and you can (literally) find a link party for any niche you could possibly think of! Once you do, read/follow the rules for each party and participate in them every week or however often they are. Link parties create blogging sub-communities within the blogger communities. When you're deciding which posts to add to a link party, I've found it's mostly beneficial to try and think about which posts people are going to want to click on the most. It's also super important to use an image for the party's icon that is engaging.
Most link parties (like this one, score!!) pick posts during each party to feature in the post. This is an added bonus to getting your blog posts seen as the host(s) are essentially promoting you for free! Most hosts also share your links on social media which also helps to spread the word about your posts. If you participate frequently, I guarantee you'll see a boost in your traffic! I sure do, and that's why I love co-hosting a link party myself!
