What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Little black dresses are usually my go to (and I think everyone can agree with that) for special occasions but I love finding fun colored and patterned dresses in the summer and especially for weddings! Wedding season is in full swing and with every invite you get, you can expect the who what and where but the "wear" is sometimes questionable. I love shopping for new and fun dress styles and putting together wedding guest looks is so much fun. Here's some of my favorites this summer:

Teal and gold is one of my absolute favorite color combos, especially for summer! And let's be honest, is there really anything better than finding the perfect nail polish shade?! I feel like I know my favorites by heart at this point! This teal lace dress is so perfect for so many occasions other than summer weddings, but it comes in SO many colors to choose from - that it's so perfect for a wedding! It can be dressed down or up and I love the quality. I find myself trying it on in different colors nearly every time I dress shop because I just love it so much! I also love this color because it's so versatile and can be worn with so many accent colors, even though gold is my favorite!

I love love love lace and love it even more in the summer! Especially in pretty, bright and airy colors like this pretty periwinkle lace dress. The Rebecca Minkoff "love" crossbody collection is always so amazing and although the designs slightly differ each season, they're always so pretty! I love the nude colored one so much and especially with this dress. Simple bangles that still make a statement are all you really need with a busy dress like this, and maybe a pretty and dainty ring like this one that comes in so many colors!

This gorgeous asymmetrical dress comes in four colors and it's so comfy, soft and pretty! The colors are gorgeous in person (especially the fuscia) and can we talk about this glittery clutch?! I love the ombre look of anything and especially if you pair it with glitter. These Badgley Mischka pumps are like a pair of dream shoes - they're SO gorgeous and I love the way they add detail to a plain dress!

Navy with white and silver is such a nautical and pretty color palette for summer and throw some lace in there and I'm a happy camper! I thought the "under the sea" themed Alex and Ani bangles were so perfect for this dress and these cute white pumps too! Navy is super flattering and it's my favorite color to wear when I'm nice and tan - it's a 3/4 sleeve dress, but it's super light and airy and the sleeves are sheer so it's great for an indoor wedding.

This Tory Burch dress is sort of a splurge but it's SO worth every penny with how pretty it is. I love the iridescent look and it's on sale right now which is even better since it's still pricey! I love the high/low look and I knew it'd be back in style after seeing it all over the Tory Burch runway for this season. I found these colorful chandelier earrings by accident, but they match this dress SO perfectly! Each color is in the dress and they're a great statement piece to include to wear minimal jewelry with an already busy dress. P.S. check out the back of this dress - it's insanely gorgeous! Everything about these colors together scream 'summer' and they're every bit of bright, floral and beautiful that everyone should embrace all summer long.
There's so many cute white dresses but of course, you can't wear white to a wedding (in most cases)! So if you're stuck on a light color, blush is a great alternate and also looks really pretty. If you're close to the bride or someone in the wedding, it's also smart to ask what color the bridesmaids dresses are so you don't blend in with the wedding party!
