On Trend: Shirtdresses + Wedges

One of the many trends of the summer (that's been around a while, I know): shirtdresses! I love the way they look - short sleeved, sleeveless, 3/4 sleeves; they're so flattering and there's so many styles that everyone looks good in them. I love the way they look with wedges the most. Shirt dresses paired with wedges is one of the classiest looks for summer and it can easily be a fun day outfit turned classy night look. I love the classic styles just as much as the newest designs with patterns, different sleeve lengths and embellishments. When a shirt dress can look feminine, you know it's an asset to your closet! During the spring and summer shows at NYFW 2016, there were so many shirt dresses and I knew they were going to be a hit again this season. Here are some of my favorites and how I'd style them:

This chambray dress is so versatile; it's classy and can be perfect for a summer day or even a summer night. I love cognac with coral and these wedges are not only on sale (!!!) but they come in a few colors and they're really, really comfy!

My favorite part about this Kate Spade dress is the fun side tie detail! It's sort of hard to tell in the picture, but the dress has tan in it so I loved the way that the wedges looked paired with it. And can we talk about the adorable $12 sunglasses?! They come in tortoise shell too and they're so cute on and you can't beat the price!

One of my favorite things about this look is the color combo of white/gray/baby blue and pink. This shirt dress is so classic and classy and a fun straw hat (that matches SO perfectly) is the perfect accessory! I just got these NARS lip shade at Sephora and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites; it's glossy and sheer but the perfect pink for summer.

This is by FAR my favorite look - gingham is so in style and I know how high demand wedges like these Marc Fisher ones and this pair of Chloe wedges are so in style and all of their dupes and I can so see why! They're absolutely adorable and the perfect, neutral pair of wedges in both cognac and black. I love the simplicity of this outfit but also how pretty, detailed and versatile it is.

My newest love... this DvF dress that's currently on sale for under $200!! It's so pretty, girly and airy and the color is the absolute best for summer. With such a pretty, lacy dress you really only need a few small details! It fits true to size and the style is perfect for all body shapes - the best part!
