Tips for Quicker Hair Styling with the TYME Iron

Whether it's an early morning, busy day and you're crunched for time or you're just feeling plain lazy (we all have those days, let's be honest!), dealing with your hair can be a struggle. My hair is naturally wavy/curly, thick and long, so I tend to keep it natural most of the time. Now though that I've found the TYME Iron, I don't mind straightening/curling my hair nearly as much! I am ALWAYS searching for ways to style my hair that are quick and easy but still cute, and I always end up with fun and simple styles, but when a styling tool like the TYME Iron makes it so easy, styling your hair literally becomes fun (who knew?!). I've been using this iron for just about a month now and it was especially helpful over the holidays when every day was so busy; I could still quickly curl or straighten my hair and not take an hour out of a day to do so. The best part about this iron is that it heats up so quickly; it gets to 400 degrees in less than two minutes! The iron is the prettiest shade of rose gold and has gold plated titanium plates. I was so excited about the color when I opened the box, #guilty! It takes a little bit of time to learn to use the iron to curl, but once you get the hang of it it's *so* simple. There's some really awesome tutorial videos that I watched to learn, and after watching a few it made me realize how easy the iron is to use. You'd think it's more complicated than it is, which is pretty mind blowing!

I may have an addiction (or obsession) with trying different styling products, so I have a drawer full in my bathroom of straighteners, curling irons, etc! Quick and easy styling tips

When I'm in a rush to get ready, my TYME Iron is *always* close by. Even if I'm doing a quick bun/up-do, I curl the ends of my hair to make my bun look pretty - plus curls make high buns stay in better! The same goes for half-up top knots, high/messy ponytails and effortless curls.

My favorite styling tip when you need to be ready in a hurry is to do lose curls by curling mainly the ends of your hair. It looks pretty and it's quicker than curling every piece in a tight curl and waiting for them to loosen and relax. This is how I do my hair on a regular basis with my TYME Iron:

Quick curls have never, ever been easier! I personally like my hair curled more than straight with my face shape (and I have to worry less about frizz!) but that preference likely depends on your natural hair. I've also found that using texture spray before doing my curls with my TYME Iron make the curls last longer and curl easier!

My curls with the TYME Iron also tend to stay much longer than they do with other curling irons; I'm not sure what magic was put into this iron, but whatever it is, it WORKS! It's extremely simple to do touch ups with this iron too.

Healthy Sexy Hair Leave-In Conditioner: I use this *every* single day! It helps to deep condition and strengthen your hair and it makes my hair so shiny. I love the scent, and use it after every shower when I comb my hair.

Pantene Root Lifting Spray Gel: this is my favorite product to use in high-humidity weather! It gives added volume to your hair and it makes curling my hair in humid weather a legitimate breeze.

TRESemme Beauty Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray: hands down the best hair spray, ever. I use this every day no matter what I do to my hair; it works wonders with curls! A little bit goes a long way and it doesn't give your hair a sticky feeling to it. I spray a few spritzes into freshly curled hair and it works like magic.

MoroccanOil Treatment: any time my hair is feeling or looking extra dry, I use a little bit of this and BOOM, silky smooth hair in literally minutes. I use it as needed after towel drying my hair post-shower and most especially when I curl my hair, I see a difference in the silkiness and texture. It's my dry winter/summer sun damaged hair life saver!
