Gift Guide for the Graduate: Splurges, Saves and for the Girl on the Go

It's graduation season again! When I put together this guide, I tried to think about things that I would have loved to get as a college grad (officially a year out now!) and also asked my sister what she'd like as a soon-to-be high school graduate. We came up with some splurge items, some practical things and a couple of ideas that anyone on your list will love!

Splurges:

Beats (#1): the rose gold shade of these headphones is my favorite, it's so classy and pretty! These made my sisters list - she works out a lot, loves to run (it's the gymnast in her, ha!) and when you love listening to music, these are at the top of your wish list. They're more of a splurge but the quality really exceeds the cost.

Diamond Necklace (#2): for my college graduation, my parents gave me a couple of really nice pieces of jewelry and I love them SO much. Costume jewelry is so fun to have and collect, but filling your jewelry box with some staple pieces that you know you'll have forever is the best! I love the style of this necklace, and I also really love this necklace and this diamond pendant necklace, which is super similar to the one I wear every day.

Tory Burch Shoulder Bag (#5): I added this beautiful bag to represent gifting a bag for graduation - I think of bags the same way I think of jewelry, having a few staple bags that will last you years is worth the price! I have this Tory bag in black (as seen on Instagram here and also here) and now seeing this periwinkle shade, I think my closet is craving it! ;) It's the softest leather ever and my sister's favorite color; one of the reasons it made this list!

For the girl on the go:

'Going Places' Watch (#3): this is such a pretty watch and great for the grads who love to travel! Since graduating I've been focusing on making travel a priority because I want to see the WHOLE world. This watch is playful and fun but looks so pretty on - belated grad gift to myself?? ;)

Monogrammed Luggage (#12): if you're lost for ideas, go with a monogram! That's always my rule of thumb! This comes in a few sizes; the one shown is the carry-on size and I just love it! All of the wanderlusters on your list will too!

Laptop Case (#10): this print used to be my very favorite and now it's making a comeback! Whether the grad you're buying for is off to college or heading into the work world, you can never go wrong with a laptop case.

Great gifts that don't break the bank:

Grad Cap Alex & Ani (#8): this adorable bangle makes my list year after year! It's a fun way to commemorate the year you graduated and it's only $28.

Amazon Echo (#9): I LOVE my Echo! It's extremely helpful and honestly works a lot better than Siri does. The "dot" version is less expensive and takes up a lot less room. It even makes it less noticeable! It's perfect for a dorm room or new apartment! I use mine daily - it makes ordering things a breeze, organizes your to-do lists and it's basically the assistant you never knew you needed. Grab one for yourself too, it's under $40!

Monogram Necklace (#11): monograms are always my favorite stocking stuffer, birthday gift, grad gift - anywhere you need a present for someone, they fit seamlessly. This version comes in both silver and gold and my favorite thing about it is that it's a larger monogram, but it's not too big on your neck.

Personal Keurig (#6): in terms of practical gifts, this has to rank #1! It's a great size (not big or bulky) and it comes in 10 really pretty colors.

Face Mask Gift Set (#4): the stress of the last few months of school before graduating can be overwhelming, so a gift set filled with awesome face masks will definitely be appreciated! This set includes all different masks, scents and ways to pamper yourself. It's a perfect gift and under $50!

Pearl Earrings (#7): these are probably the prettiest pearl earrings I've ever seen - they make a statement without a huge cost and they're the kind of earrings that can be worn every day with every thing!
