My Winter Skin Beauty Secret: PMD Beauty

At first I used it once a week, and during week 3 I used it twice - but for a little less time during each session. Other than that, it's been every Sunday (my "me" day, lol!).

It's recommended to start using the PMD Microderm tool with the white training discs; these are made for super sensitive skin and I started using it with these disks because my skin is sensitive and this one is good at first, but it is VERY light. It's good to use to get used to though. At this point, I'm using the blue disc, which is still ideal for sensitive skin but the one to use if you've already done a few treatments. It's also important to remember to not keep the device on one spot of your skin for a long time - you want to move the device nonstop across your skin at a normal pace.
Like I mentioned previously, I'm one of those girls who asks the dermatologist every single little thing - and she still recommends this product like no other! One of my friends gets regular microderm sessions at her dermatologist and she pays $170 each time... While it may be worth it, that's a LOT when this device works just as well. I've been showing her my results, and since I've never gotten microderm done professionally I wanted to know what she thought - since it's done weekly instead of monthly as it is with the dermatologist, it isn't *as* strong but still works extremely similarly. I have never had such a strong, useful exfoliant - it sounds kind of gross, but you really can see any dead skin come off and it's such a good feeling!

When I use the PMD microderm tool, I start by washing my face thoroughly with my cleanser and then completely dry it off. It takes less than 15 minutes to use the tool on my face, and when you're finished using wash and dry your face again. I use a toner and my favorite moisturizer immediately after using and I swear my face feels insanely clean and so refreshed - I love that feeling! #itsthelittlethings
There's tons of exfoliating scrubs and all sorts of alternatives to microderm, but after trying a TON of them I think it's safe to say that nothing compares. When professional microderm sessions are as expensive as they are (considering they're needed usually once per month), this at-home tool basically pays for itself in one use. I'm excited to try it on my arms and feet next with the larger disks too!
