Thank you to FoodScience of Vermont for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are solely my own.
Let's talk breakfast. What do you have each morning? If your answer is "I don't", me too. I've never been a big breakfast person and haven't ever liked traditional breakfast foods... Some call it crazy, but it's never been my favorite, hah! Ever since moving my daily workouts to the mornings, I've craved something refreshing post-workout and getting ready for the day. Smoothies have always been one of my very favorite things for any meal or time of day, so having a smoothie each morning has made me realize what I've missed out on all these years by not eating each morning - go figure right?! So around 11:00 AM each day, I make one of my favorite smoothie bowls and it gets me - and my day - going for REALS. The only thing better than discovering the power of 3-4 servings of fruit each morning is that it can come with a daily dose of a much needed, natural source of energy.
FoodScience of Vermont is one of the coolest companies - they have three super different and unique drink supplements; each is loaded with phytonutrients and stabilized probiotics, both of which are essential basics we should be getting each day and likely aren't. It amazes me when I think about all of the essentials I'm NOT putting into my body each day... Kinda crazy!!
There's three different Superior Powders - Superior Reds, Superior Greens and Superior Purples. Each container has a 60-day supply and every serving has THREE servings of fruits and veggies in it. I've been trying out the Superior Reds, which is best known and used for being an energy booster. Between hectic days and staying up late working, energy that lasts a full day is hard to come by... I know I'm not the only one that knows the afternoon slump is the REAL deal, lol!
I've been adding a serving of the Superior Reds into my smoothie each day for the past 16 days and so far, sssoooo good. I see a huge difference in how full I am (thanks to a filling smoothie to start my day) and how much energy I still have by dinner time (thanks to FoodScience of Vermont). It's vegetarian, gluten free and it's a mixed berry flavor so it's the perfect addition to this smoothie bowl.
Ingredients
Makes one smoothie bowl, blended
1 banana, sliced
6 strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1 tbsp peanut butter (optional, tastes delicious!)
1 scoop (serving) Superior Reds Superior Powder
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
The Superior Powders are available online (buy them here!!) and at your local Rite Aid - how convenient?! You can literally pick it up on your next drugstore beauty search. ;) The best part is, if you're not feeling a smoothie or just don't have the time one day but still want to get your energy boost in you can mix it into water (remember, it's mixed berry so it's pretty delicious!), juice or anything else. Check out the FoodScience of Vermont Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to learn more and find other ways to add these to your daily meals!
This Superior Powder is a game changer and will make you rethink the nutrients you get - or are missing out on - each day. It's *so* easy to use and it's extremely convenient to add into anything you'll already be eating or drinking! One of the most incredible feelings is when you realize that living a healthier lifestyle in multiple ways is the way to live your best life. It's no secret around here that this year I've been working extra hard on making positive lifestyle changes; something so natural, easy to use and filled with nutrients that also gives me a boost of energy AND that can be mixed into something as simple as a smoothie (that I'm already making each day) is a no-brainer!
I highly recommend trying any (and all) of the FoodScience of Vermont Superior Powders - make a positive lifestyle change today that couldn't be simpler. The Superior Greens is what I'll be trying next since it works to cleanse and detox your body while providing you with the superfood(s) and probiotics your body is craving. With summer quite literally around the corner, I'm excited to try that one! The Superior Purple is made with a powerful blend of antioxidants to fight aging.
Which Superior Powder are you most excited to try?! Let me know which you get and how you incorporate it into one of your daily meals - I'm so interested to try some other ways to get these superfood mixes into my diet!
XOXO -A
