Currently Craving: June Buys to Kick Off Summer

Between all of the colorful picks for summer and travel necessities to buy right now, there's way too many things I could think to add to a Currently Craving edition! Here are 15 of the newest and cutest summer buys and some essentials to help you kick off summer:

1. Striped Jogger Pants: these pants are equal parts cute and comfy and are perfect for lounging around in after a long day in the sun, or you could even dress them up with a white tank/tee and wedges and wear it to dinner! They're super versatile and even when you dress them up, no one will know just how comfy they are. ;)

2. Drawstring Crossbody Bag: this cute bag is on sale for $29! It's so well made and looks so expensive when really it's SO affordable. It comes in a few other colors but this is a perfect summer neutral.

3. Hair Tool Carrying Case: whenever I travel I either use my straightener/curling iron right before leaving, or forget to pack it all together. *face palm* This case is safe to put a hot hair tool in so you can pack it right away - isn't that so smart?! It's a must have for all of your summer travels!

4. Opal & Diamond Stud Earrings: I fell in love with these when I stumbled across them! They also come in a blue opal color and they're incredibly beautiful. They're under $100 and would be a great gift - or a "just because" present to yourself!

5. Floppy Bow Embellished Hat: it doesn't matter how many summer hats you have if one this cute is $12. You buy it anyway. STAT.

6. California Tee: does anyone else live in slightly oversized t-shirts in the summer? On down days or pool days, I always wear a slouchy tee and I ALWAYS pack a few on beach trips - they're so good to have in case you need an extra outfit or get a little too much sun and need something over your swimsuit at the beach. I could see this being really cute dressed up a bit too!

7. Iridescent Drop Earrings: I sound like a broken record whenever I share some cute new statement earrings when it comes to the weight of them but... these are SO lightweight!!! That's really why I included them in this roundup; they look like they're expensive and heavy and they're anything but! $20 and doesn't feel like you have anything on!

8. Ciaté Glow Stix: I included this holy grail beauty buy in my summer beauty must haves for an everyday glow, and I have used it every day since and it's beyond incredible. If there's any one thing you buy beauty-wise this month, let it be this! It gives you such a natural, dewy glow without being shimmery. Those beautiful, golden highlights are all beautiful to look at and apply but sometimes even using a little bit can give you too much of a shimmer. This is perfect if you're going for a really natural look; you could easily get away with wearing just a little bit of this and mascara this summer and still look so put together! It's hands down my favorite beauty product!

Travel DSLR Backpack: instead of lugging around your big and bulky camera bag on your next trip (and also causing you to have one extra bag... it never ends!) get this backpack and your travel woes will be solved! LOL. This backpack comes in a few colors and has the perfectly sized compartment for your DSLR camera and lens(es). You can also fit your laptop, etc. I love mine already and can't wait to use it!

10. YSL Sunnies: Saint Laurent sunglasses on sale?! Jump at these pretty shades that are well over 30% off right now!

Lilly Pulitzer S'well Bottle: I drink a TON of water and even more so in the summer - I know there's much cheaper insulated bottles out there that do the job just as well, but I mean this print gives alll the heart eyes! It's well worth it and S'well is such a great brand - your water will never get warm, seriously!

Bain de Soleil Orange Gelee: this sunscreen/tanning lotion is so good because it's the best of both worlds - it has SPF to protect but will also give you that sun kissed glow that everyone loves to see after spending a day outdoors. It's the only thing I've used that really works both ways - protection wise and to tan. And you can NOT possibly beat how amazing this smells with any other product!

13. Drunk Elephant Sunshine Serum: if you haven't tried any Drunk Elephant products before, you need to get yourself some and start with this new serum! I've only used it for the past two days, but so far I'm loving it. It gives you a really natural golden look and it's solely from your skin - it protects your skin and repairs any damage; all while smelling incredible and looking extremely natural! It doesn't have any coverage but still gives you that glowy look that almost makes it seem like you have makeup on. Perfect for the hottest days when you can't deal with makeup, when you're in a rush or just want to look really natural and still put together. This is a must!

14. Tan Espadrille Wedges: can one person have too many pairs of shoes? Asking for a friend. These are coming to my closet ASAP. Obsessed.

15. Striped Pom Pom Tote: I live for these kinds of bags during the summer! The colors are so fun and it's such a great beach tote that doubles as a handbag - it's so hard to resist these!
