The Best Nail Polish Shades to Try this Summer

Happy first (full) day of summer! So, so excited it's finally here! And there's no better way to kick the best season ever off than with a fresh mani that goes perfectly with a golden, glowing tan - summer manicures are the best thing ever! I'm one of those people who really doesn't enjoy going to the nail salon but love having my nails done. Whether you're more of a bold, statement maker with polish shades or prefer more subtle tones (or constantly do different shades of white on repeat - guilty!), these colors are must tries for summer and whether you're getting your nails done or doing them yourself, you need to try them out this season!

If you opt for a gel polish manicure, I HIGHLY recommend the Perfect Match line by Le Chat. They have tons of colors and it lasts for a minimum of two weeks with no chips! I've always been a fan of OPI polishes but I've found that their gel polish line isn't nearly as good. If your salon doesn't carry Le Chat, you can buy tons of colors here! They're affordable and it's great to have especially if it's a cult-favorite of yours! ;)
When you need a quick mani and want to do it yourself, the Essie Gel Couture line is SO good. It's super easy to apply and really works just as well! It lasts a long time and there's so many colors that it's impossible to choose, just what you need right? ;) I've found that the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat makes it last even longer - and I've even started applying it to my regular polish, DIY manis too.

This is what I have on my nails right now - kind of obsessed! It's called "Moonshine" and it's a Perfect Match shade. I got it at done at my salon and it's a gel polish, #221. It's a light periwinkle and it's such a perfect summer color!
