2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Favorites: What to Buy Before it Sells Out

It's that time again - today is the first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Early Access)! As if you hadn't heard... ;) I know this sale is talked about a ton, but it really is for good reason - there's incredible deals on so, so many things. Need vacation buys? No problem. Looking for some beauty steals? You got it. Want to stock up on designer buys for future months? There's TONS. I'm starting to sound a little like Ariel (haha get it? It's early, cut me some slack) but the point is it's worth shopping or at least checking it out to see if there's something you want to get! Hint: there will be.
Some years are better than others merchandise-wise, but from what I'm seeing this year so far there's a TON of really cute and fun picks. I'll be sharing more of my favorites, things I think you guys *need* to see/shop/may miss at first glance, re-stocks and a ton more during the course of the sale, but I always like to start off by sharing everything that catches my eye right away - AKA the things that are 99.9% likely to go the fastest! A lot of things get re-stocked through the course of the sale, but some things (specifically some designer/brand name items) won't. So act fast, get a cup of coffee and start shopping! Here's what to add to cart and buy first so you don't miss out - and these buys are GOOD!

1. Pink Cable Knit Cardigan: this is going to be one of the top selling items if you ask me! It comes in a couple of colors (but this dusty/rose pink is the prettiest!!) and it's $49! These chunky, cozy cardigans usually aren't anywhere near $49, so act fast. I'll try it on in the store today and update you about the fit!

SIZING UPDATE: fits TTS; you could size down one and still be ok because it fits oversized! It's been selling quickly, so if you don't see your normal size consider a size down or keep checking back - I have a feeling this will be re-stocked!

2. NARS Eye & Cheek Palette: these colors are too pretty - it's the perfect sized palette to take on vacation because you have eye shadow and your blush/highlight covered. You get a gift with purchase with this buy also - make sure to take advantage of that.

3. Round CZ Stud Earrings: I bought these during last years sale and have worn them sooo much throughout this past year. They're absolutely stunning and they shimmer in the light - they look incredibly real and they're under $30! I recommend getting them in more than one color because you will wear them a TON. You don't even notice you're wearing them because they're so lightweight and they won't bother your ears at all.

4. Leopard Print Bow Slides: there were a similar pair of leopard print mules during last years sale and they sold out so fast! I guarantee these will do well also - don't hesitate!

5. DIPTYQUE Candle Set: another favorite from last year! I bought two of these sets last year and kept one and ended up gifting the other. It's a great deal for the minis because these candles will last you a long time.

6. Converse Shoreline Sneaker: I'm SO excited that these are included in the sale!! They're not the original white pair that I always talk about (you can shop those HERE) but this off-white color is a great change/second pair. They come in a darker, dusty rose too. Comfiest sneaker ever, you'll get so much use out of these!

7. Lilac Rose Crossbody Bag: I always love checking out the Anniversary Sale's handbag selection first! I'm a "collector" of handbags - I prefer that over "hoarder". ;) This Rebecca Minkoff crossbody also comes in black and is under $100 during the sale!! Such a steal and a bag you'll use time and time again, including during your travels - it's a great sized travel handbag!

8. Light Wash Straight Leg Jeans: these jeans are one of my other favorite things to get from this sale - I love them because they're comfy and fit SO well. I never mind spending a little more on denim because I know I'll have them for years; these KUT from the Kloth jeans are on sale for $59 and this length and style is my favorite - I wear them (seriously) all the time.

9. Stripe Blanket Scarf: it pains me to even think about buying something like this right now in this weather - hah - but this is another find that will likely sell out quickly!

10. Gold Bracelet Set: anyone else love dangling gold jewelry, especially when you're tan/in the summer?! I love this set and can't wait to wear these.

11. Clinique Moisture Surge Set: ok, I rave about this stuff ALL THE TIME. I will not stop, either. Clinique's moisture surge completely changed my beauty and makeup routine! I've been using the line for over a year and any time there's a great deal I can't resist on stocking up. This deal is so good because it comes with two jars of the moisturizer in the 4.2 oz size - when I normally need/buy it, I get the 1.7 oz size which is $39 and it lasts me a minimum of 2-3 months. I can only imagine how long these bigger jars will last! Ha! The set also comes with a Moisture Surge FACE SPRAY. I have yet to try it and I cannot wait. A great set, deal and a must buy!

12. Square Sunnies: with all of the different sunglasses trends we've seen this season, I'm really starting to like these square ones!

13. Barefoot Dreams Hooded Cardigan: so, the rule of thumb is that whenever you see Barefoot Dreams' cardigans on sale, you buy them - right?? If you have yet to wear a Barefoot Dreams cardigan, you *need* to buy one! And if you're familiar with them, you still need to buy one during this sale! ;) I travel in these and live in them, basically. They're the softest, most cozy sweaters ever (without being heavy or overbearing which is the best part about them) and you'll have yours for years. They sell a ton of these during this sale so get yours while all of the colors/styles/sizes are in stock!

14/15/16. Athletic Sneakers: every year during the Anniversary Sale there's a couple of pairs of athletic/running/training sneakers that sell out sooo quickly. They typically re-stock most of them a few times, but just in case - you don't want to miss out on any of these! All three pairs are marked down significantly and are too cute (and comfy styles). The White Nike (#16) pair will go the quickest IMO.
