Bedroom Refresh Inspiration for Every Budget

After a long and busy day there's very few things I want more than to walk into my bedroom and just relax. There's a lot of early mornings and late nights that include working from my bed but having a comfortable, light and airy and cozy spot I can go to is my dream of a room! I always like to give rooms in my home some updates and a good refresh, especially with a season change and this is a great time to get some awesome deals on new decor. I knew I wanted some pieces that were bright and white, and Kohl's had pretty much everything I was looking for - it was a one stop shop (which never happens, hah)!

I never realized just how large the home selection is at Kohl's. There's SO many great brands and finds no matter what your style is - there's more traditional picks, trending decor and so much more. No matter what you pick, the selection Kohl's has are all such affordable finds yet of incredible quality. This comforter set is my absolute favorite thing I updated in my room. It brightened up the space sooo much and it's ridiculously soft - it's getting harder and harder to get out of bed! ;) I had been looking for a crisp, white comforter that wasn't too simple, but had a subtle design to it and this is exactly what I wanted. I kept my color palette minimal but similar to what I had so that I could keep my throw pillows - clearly I'm a bit of a pillow hoarder!

The main, major updates I made were so affordable but made such a difference. I've slept with a memory foam mattress topper for as long as I can remember and decided to update mine and get a new one. If you don't have a memory foam topper, you need one in your life. And if you do, consider upgrading to a new one! They last a long time but you'll get the best night of sleep ever on a brand new one - it's like sleeping on a new, fluffy cloud! My new topper is the Cradling Cloud by Serta. I can't get over how great of a deal it was and how much more comfortable it was than my previous topper!

And speaking of feeling like I'm sleeping on a cloud, YOU GUYS. This Columbia Dry Ice pillow is the best thing to ever exist. It is beyond amazing - I love the feeling of cold, fresh bedding (who doesn't?!) and this pillow just stays cold and acclimates to your body temperature, allowing you to sleep more comfortably all night long. I'm VERY picky about the pillows I sleep with... I have to absolutely love it and be comfortable off the bat or I won't be able to sleep... I know, it sounds crazy but that's how I knew this was a winner for me! It's incredibly soft and it's a must have if you ask me. There's such a large variety of cloud-like pillows that you can get on sale right now and there's never a bad time to update your pillows. These The Big One microfiber pillows are SO comfy (regularly $9.99!) and you'd never guess that they are so inexpensive. They're great for adding pillows to your bed - you can never have too many - and for sleeping with all of them, of course!

I think the next update I'll look to make is adding in an area rug. I had one previously but didn't love it and especially not with this my new color scheme so I'm looking through the Mohawk selection that Kohl's has - they have SO many great ones! I'm loving this one and noticed there's a ton of great options for your kitchen, too. They're great because they're made with a nonslip design and you can easily wash them if need be.
Giving your bedroom some updates this season doesn't have to be expensive and it can totally change how you see your space and how you feel about it! The simplest things can make you have a totally different view and a comfort factor always helps. ;) You'll be surprised how much a bright, new comforter alone can do to see your room in a new light.

If I had to pick, I'd hands down say that The Big One brand surprised me the most and has the best decor! They have something for everyone and literally more choices than you could imagine. I love all of their bedding especially (like my new comforter set!), but they have great decor and pillows also. This cozy, sea foam green shaded throw blanket is also by The Big One and it adds the perfect pop of color and cozy factor - I promise that's a thing! Hah! They also have the best sheet sets - my new white sheets are so soft and if there's one thing you're going to update, let it be your sheets!
